Cabin fever

Fartsy was very glad to get out. An entire day spent in a room can do mean things to your mind.

Today we woke up to—gasp!—the slightest hint of sunshine, but just before noon the rain started pouring again. A day of suspension is fun, two days, nice, but three days? Ugh.

  1. I heard you're a great writer. Mind posting a text post which includes the following:

    1. How to write an editorial
    2. How to write a feature article
    3. How to write a personal text which won't appear too personal
    4. How to write something when you want to brag about something but doesn't sound to braggy

    And lastly, any study tips?

HAHA. HELLO. You're fantastic, Dean. Please post all possible tips that accumulated in your mind while writing this nonsense comment of mine.

    Good day. :))

  3. Hi, Anonymous! I can't say I'm a "great" writer, but I'll try to answer your questions briefly:

    1. I've only written opinion pieces twice or thrice in my life, but be generous with facts and make sure arguments are airtight.
    2. Show, don't tell; stay journalistic—include all sides, keep everything factual. Avoid the first person when possible.
    3. I'm not sure what you mean by "too personal." If you're writing about something personal, it won't (and shouldn't) sound anything but personal.
    4. Don't brag.

As for study tips, try the Pomodoro Technique.
