Disgusting! That gate separates the local airport's tarmac from the rest of the world. They hung tarps across it to discourage people from standing around near the gate and watching passengers embark and disembark.
When I was little I used to wait for my father to arrive (or wait for him to board whenever he left) at the airport at this very gate. I loved watching the planes park and leave. And now they're robbing people of that joy! What a bunch of losers. At least they left the lower half of one side of the gate open for the little kids.
Next to a sign that reads "Hanging out not allowed here," (yes, hanging out 'cause I'm cool like that) people hanging out.
